Statement on the Current Situation
Dear customers, business partners, and friends,
We, the company Wottle, would like to inform you that as of today, December 4th, 2024, we have filed for reorganization under self-administration. This decision was not made lightly but was necessary to ensure the long-term stability and sustainability of our company.
The reasons for this development are primarily as follows:
- Decline in business volume: In 2024, we experienced a significant 40% drop in turnover both in Austria and in exports due to the general economic situation.
- Increased costs: Labor costs have risen disproportionately in recent years.
- Intense price pressure in the industry: Lower labor and production costs in other countries have created extreme competitive pressure in our sector.
- Decline in industrial and construction projects: We have observed a marked decrease in orders from the industrial and construction sectors.
Our Perspective
Despite these challenges, we remain optimistic about the future. We are pursuing a successful reorganization under self-administration and are working hard on a restructuring plan that will strengthen us in the long term. The planned takeover of the company by the current managing directors will proceed as planned — as of today, this process remains on track.
WE ARE STILL 100% HERE FOR YOU!
Our product range, including wine presses and cellar machinery, remains fully available. Spare parts, repairs, and warranty services will continue to be provided at the same high standards.
Our Request to You
We kindly ask for your understanding and patience during this period of restructuring. At the same time, we appeal to you to support us and other local businesses through your conscious decision to shop locally. Every local purchase helps secure jobs and regional value creation.
Thank you for your loyalty and trust. Together, we look confidently toward the future!
Yours sincerely,
The WOTTLE Team
